Piste Map

Sauze d’Oulx is part of the Via Lattea ski area often referred to as the Milky Way.

The area covers other resorts including Sestriere and the French ski resort of Montgenevre. It is possible to ski over to Montgenevre and back in one day if you are a competent intermediate skier. Snowboarders will be pleased to know that most of the lifts are chair lifts.

The piste map has been supplied by the lift company. There is a link below allowing you to download a pdf version. Unfortunately actual piste maps cannot be sent via the post.

Mountain restaurants

There are plenty of restaurants to choose from in the mountains above Sauze d’Oulx. Enjoy fantastic quality food and wine at prices that won’t break the bank. A selection of these restaurants also offer the chance to dine in the evening creating a truly memorable experience.

 

La Marmotta

Opened in 2018 La Marmotta offers the very best of Italian style and cuisine. Table service only. Simple but authentic Italian menu complemented with an extensive wine list. Highly recommended. Offers evening dining. Location: Next to the top of the Triplex lift, Sportinia.

Stylish

Ciao Pias

This is one of the oldest restaurants on the mountain. Originally built by the Alpine regiment as a refugio, Ciao Pias now offers a warm welcome and good hearty food. As with most restaurants the wine list will satisfy the most discerning palate. Offers evening dining. Location: Off run 2000, Sauze d'Oulx.

Cosy

Orso Bianco

Located in Sportinia, Orso Bianco is a popular spot for lunch and also a mid morning coffee. The self service restaurant offers great value for money along with a good wine list! There is also an outside grill serving up burgers and great bacon and egg sandwiches! Location: Sportinia

Great choice

La Capannina

Also located in Sportinia, La Capannina offers self service buffet style dining. There's also fresh pizza on offer along with a choice of pasta dishes and a meat dish. Location: Sportinia.

Friendly

Chalet Molino

Located conveniently at the top of the the Lago Nero chairlift. There's a restaurant upstairs and a small sandwich/snack bar on the ground floor. In the evening arrive by snowcat for an unforgettable experience. Location: Top of the Lago Nero chairlift.

Bar Basset

One of our favourite places to stop for morning coffee and cake. Bar Basset is located in the bowl over the back from Sportinia. It offers simple bowls of pasta, soup, sandwiches and great home made cakes! Location: Between Red 48 & Red 47.

Simple but good

bar Sosta

Located at the top of the Clotes lift this is a great location for your morning coffee, lunchtime bite or afternoon bombardino.

The transfers we booked were professional and hassle free notwithstanding our late arrival. For the return we were greeted on time with great service. The ski hire was also of excellent quality.
