COVID FAQ’s

Updated 5th January 2022.

Understandably we’ve had an enormous amount of emails and questions on social media regarding the current rules surrounding COVID.

I’ve listed the most popular ones below so hopefully, if you do have any questions, you’ll find the answer here.

To qualify for the SGP you need to be either doubly vaccinated or to have proof that you have recovered from COVID within the last 6 months. That applies for anyone over the age of 12.

From the 1st February 2022, passes based on vaccination will expire after 6 months. If you get a booster jab then the pass will be renewed for another 6 months from the date of your booster.

The fact that you have been doubly vaccinated automatically entitles you to the Super Green Pass, you do not need to apply for it. If you’ve had COVID within the last 6 months you will need proof of your positive test result or a letter from your GP confirming infection.

If you are travelling from the U.K. then the vaccination record in the NHS app is the equivalent of the SPG.

From 10th January you will need the Super Green Pass to access lifts.

Download the NHS app where you can view and download your COVID pass. There is an option for ‘Travel’ Select this and either download a PDF copy or select ‘Show details’

I would suggest not adding it to Apple Wallet if you have an iPhone as I found this did not to work.

The QR code from your dose 2 of 2 is the one you need, or the booster. This is what will be scanned when entering bars and restaurants. It will also be the one you’ll need to show should you be asked for it on the lifts.

Yes, at the moment the Super Green Pass is only mandatory for children over 12 years old.

This is the tricky one. A letter from your GP should suffice however this theory hasn’t been tested. I believe that there are private companies that can supply you with a recovery certificate for a handsome fee.

Yes, you can opt to receive an offline copy by email direct from the app.

Yes they are. You’ll need your Super Green Pass to eat or drink inside. From the 10th January you will also need the SGP to eat or drink outside.

You can either book an appointment at the Pharmacy in Sauze or you can bring a ‘Fit to Fly’ test with you. These are the same as the ones you’ll need to do before flying out to Italy so you’ll be well versed in the process.

The Pre departure tests to return to the U.K. are to be scrapped from 04:00, 7th January 2022.

After the 10th January it is going to be impossible to travel with anyone over the age of 12 who isn’t fully vaccinated or can’t prove that they have recently recovered.

The Pharmacy is just down from the main square next to the Hotel Serendipity.
